Posted by It’s jinxed, it must be! My rear tyre on my Z has another nail in it!!! This is the third tyre in 12 months, the second tyre lasted two weeks before I had a nail which unfortunately tore the inside of the tyre and I had to have a new one. Two weeks! I have Michelin Pilots on my bikes so we’re not talking cheap tyres here. How to explain that to the other half.
Five of us decided to go out for brekkie the Sunday before Xmas to a nice little café in Thame called The Coffee House in Butter Market. We went out through Wendover, Great Kimble and Longwick.
We managed to get a table by the roaring log fire and had a cracking cooked breakfast with unlimited refills of coffee – what more can you ask for!
Upon going back to the bikes none of us were ready to head home so we decided to go a really long way round to another café we like in Wendover called Waterways Deli Café in Back Street via Long Crendon, Oakley and then onto my absolutely favourite bit of road in this area with lots of overtaking opportunities taking us into Waddesdon and then onto Aylesbury.
I love this riding lark, great roads, great mates, great fun – what more can a girl ask for It was as we were leaving the café in Wendover that I noticed the offending nail in my back tyre.
Deciding not to remove it until we got home in case the tyre went down, we went home to assess the situation.
The nail was pulled out and some air came out but not as much as we thought would. A trip to my bike mechanic tomorrow for it to be checked is needed.Fingers crossed it can be plugged!
